At the stroke of midnight on Aug 15, which will mark the time when India awoke to freedom 58 years ago, a theatre here will screen the historical "Mangal Pandey - The Rising" to mark the Independence Day.

Fun Cinemas, which is celebrating its second anniversary this week, has arranged the exclusive screening for the Ketan Mehta film at its multiplex.

The national anthem will be rendered by a Western classical orchestra, after which the film will be screened. Some major Bollywood stars are expected to attend the screening.
