In the issue dated January 17, HitList had reported that actor Salman Khan had reneged on the promise he had made to professor-turned-social worker, Sandeep Desai.

We had reported that the actor, after alleging support to help Desai build schools in rural areas, had forgotten all about it. But now it has emerged that the actor has made fast amends Post the story getting published, Desai was contacted by Salman's charity trust.

Desai said. `I was recently contacted by Salman's NGO and I have submitted my presentation on the school that I wish to build. Now they will look into it and they have promised to get back to me by next week.`

Adds a source, `The NGO wants to know how the allocated funds will be utilised, and he has already shared his presentation with them. It will now be studied closely before the NGO takes a call on the next step.`
