Ramji (R. Madhavan) is an excellent cook from a village in Bihar called Takipur.
Forced to come to England to work as a chef in order to pay for his sister's wedding, Ramji finds
himself wondering aimlessly in the streets of London.
To add to his difficulties, Ramji loses his passport and visa whilst travelling on the London
underground.
Completely lost in the city, a minor incident soon gets him a job as a chef in an Indian
restaurant.
But life isn't all that easy for Ramji because close on his tail are the police who are trying to nab him.
After all he is an illegal immigrant!
However, a lawyer (Raj Zutshi) comes to his rescue. He chalks out a phony marriage between his
fiancée Sameera (Samita Bangargi) and Ramji so that he gets the British citizenship.
Meanwhile posing as husband and wife Sameera and Ramji though poles apart... fall for each
other... What ensues next is a funny and interesting climax.
So what happens next? Will Ramji be caught and be deported back to India? This romantic comedy
has all the answers.
The film is directed by Sanjay Dayma who assisted Ashutosh Gowarikar in Lagaan.
