Malik, who is averse to sharing credits, is even more put off by the fact that it was done without his knowledge.
"I learnt about it from a section of the press and was unable to reconcile myself to it, especially since I thought I knew the makers well. In fact, I had signed the film on an emotional note, without being very particular about the contract details. This was the last thing I had expected," Malik reveals.
The incident has made him sit down and draft a fresh copy of his contract for all producers in future, with an additional clause that will prevent producers from signing an additional music director for their films.
However, he maintains that he is in no mood to have a showdown with Bhagnani. "What for? It was my fault that I was not careful. Besides, I've recorded six tracks for the film and am sure they'll stand out in comparison to anything else."
