According to sources in the Pakistani film industry, Meera presently wants to concentrate on her career, and, therefore, is averse to tying the knot for at least three years.
The Daily Times quoted the actress as speaking over phone from Dubai, that her mother supported her decision that she should continue acting in films, but her father was creating a problem.
Denying the rumours that she was having an affair with a Dubai-based guy whom she wants to marry, she reportedly said that she shifted to Dubai only to act in a teleplay. "I am here only for shooting. In case my father does not agree with me, I won't stay with my parents in Pakistan," she told the paper.
Meanwhile, said the paper, Meera's father Sarwar said that he had given Meera a year to complete all her projects, and after that she would definitely be married off.
"There is a family in Lahore with which Meera's marriage talks are in progress, and hopefully Meera will agree to marry the guy I have chosen for her," he added.
