The objective of the campaign will be to raise funds to support the education of around 100 underprivileged girls. The campaign will be launched on March 7 and Vivek will attend the launch event at New Delhi.
In the past, The Body Shop India has been actively involved in hard hitting global campaigns like 'Stop Violence in the home', 'Stop Sex Trafficking', 'Yes Yes Yes to Safe Sex.'
Aanchal Raghav, the Assistant Manager (Marketing), The Body Shop said, `We will have Vivek on board with us as the campaign ambassador. We understand that Vivek is very passionate about this cause, and has been massively involved in such values activation in the past. We truly believe that his efforts will help us spread the word and benefit these 100 girls".
Says Vivek, "Acting in movies is my passion, but doing good and helping others in whoever small a capacity brings a certain meaningfulness. That joy is more fulfilling that any award or reward I have ever got".
