Never mind the fact that he did not measure up to Bipasha Basu's stature, which prompted her to reject the role in Mahesh Bhatt's "Actress", but that is no deterrent for
Emraan Haashmi.
Subhash Ghai apparently wants the Mahesh Bhatt protégé in three of Mukta Arts' forthcoming projects, the first of which is scheduled to take off in November.
"It is true that Subhash-ji has expressed his desire to sign me for three of his projects. I have grown up on Subhash-ji's films and it is always a privilege to be associated with
a banner like Mukta Arts," he says.
Currently shooting in Mauritius for Babloo Pasichia's "Jawaani Deewani", Haashmi is quite excited about the opening response to his just-released film, "Aashiq Banaya
Apne".
"Bhatt-saab is very happy about it. I have trained under him and he had always taught us that each of us had to go out and make a place for ourselves in our careers. I did
not see myself living under Bhatt-saab's shadow for a lifetime either and the success of 'Aashiq...' is probably the first step in that direction," he says.
