Over two decades ago, Manoj Bajpayee began acting on the small screen in Swabhimaan which aired on Doordarshan.

He then did a couple of more shows till his big screen calling. In 2005, he had also hosted a game show called Kam Ya Zyada. The actor now returns to television as anchor of the show, Encounter, which features real-life crime stories of gangsters.
