"I haven't really kept track of the number of songs but I guess there are around 20, some built around situations and others against the background. I wanted to make the music a part of the narrative though I wouldn't essentially call it a musical film," says Ghosh.
However, only eight of the songs will be retained in the music album prior to the film's release.
"We are planning to release only eight selected songs in the album because we don't want to confuse people with too many songs. If there is a demand for the film's music, we might even come out with another album," he says.
Vishal-Shekhar was initially apprehensive about the idea but eventually had a great time recording music for the film.
