Telly actress Urvashi Rautela was in for a shock when she discovered that her maid was slyly giving auditions

This could perhaps happen only in Mumbai. Telly actress Urvashi Rautela recently discovered that her maid, Neelam Singh, was giving auditions behind her back to bag acting roles.

After watching Urvashi, Singh aspired to become an actress herself and quietly went for auditions using the actress' contacts. When Urvashi got wind of it, she decided to fire Singh. She says, `My maid is a 32-year-old mother of two children. She too hails from Uttarakhand. When I came down to Mumbai, my mother sent her along with me. She promised to do all the housework and said that since she is a divorcee, she is in dire need of money. So we offered her a job.`

But now that the actress is in the know about what the maid has been up to, she feels cheated. `I wanted to help her out, so I bought her a mobile and gave her some of my clothes. When I realised that she has been lying to me and has come to Mumbai only to pursue an acting career, I had no option but to ask her to leave,` says Urvashi, adding that she doesn't know if Singh has gone back to Uttarakhand or is still here in Mumbai.
