OMG-Oh My God director Umesh Shukla is slated to begin a schedule of his Abhishek Bachchan-Asin starrer soon in Himachal Pradesh. One of the cast members will certainly be missing in action. Shukla has cast Smriti Irani in the mother's role in the film.

As she is super busy politicking - taking on Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, facing the cameras (unless it is for news channels and for a certain Arnab Goswami) has to wait for now.

Buzz is that when Umesh signed her for the film last year, he was willing to adjust her dates. In fact, it was he who cajoled her into acting again because of their old association. Apart from her soap outings, Smriti has earlier featured in the Hindi film Maalik Ek as well as in a Telugu film Jai Bolo Telangana. Umesh's film is her first major role in Bollywood.
