Designer Suneet Verma has filed a suit against fellow designer Aki Narula seeking Rs 2 crore damages from him for allegedly copying his creation blue puncho and multi-hued pants which actor Rani Mukherjee donned in Hindi film Bunty Aur Bubli.

In his suit filed in the court of Justice O P Dwivedi, Verma claimed that Narula must have earned Rs 2 crore after the success and wide publicity received by the scenes in which Mukherjee wore the dress.

The court yesterday issued notices to Narula and Yashraj Productions for October 6.
