Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit-Nene reportedly got unsettled when they were offered the role of the Punjabi mother to screen siblings, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh, in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do (DDD) reports Times of India.

The trade gup is that Shefali Shah, who is younger than Madhuri and Sri, has taken up the challenge. Shefali has earlier played mother to Akshay Kumar, who is older than her, in her filmmaker husband Vipul Shah's Waqt - The Race Against Time.

However, an insider on DDD maintained that Shefali will not be doing the mother's role; she'll do something different. When we texted Shefali, she said, "I'm doing Zoya's film." Declining to comment on the role, she added, "All I can say is, it's an important role and I'm excited about doing the film."
