Sai Kabir's Kangna Ranaut-starrer, 'Revolver Rani', has collected Rs 6 crore in its first weekend; this is less than the actress' previous film, 'Queen', which collected Rs 10 crore in its first weekend.
Exhibitor Rajesh Thadani says, `Revolver Rani got a decent opening because of Kangna, but it has not yet won the audiences over.
There could be a drop in the film's collections. On the other hand, Subhash Ghai's 'Kaanchi' collected around Rs 2.5 crore and Kavita Barjatya's directorial debut, 'Samrat & Co.', raked in around a crore. '2 States' continues to remain steady with collections amounting to Rs 68 crore within ten days of its release.`
Trade pundits feel that none of last week's releases have succeeded in impressing the audiences. Trade analyst Amod Mehra says, `All the three films were failed to create magic at the box office. 'Kaanchi' and 'Samrat & Co' were non-starters from the first show itself and they will find it difficult to complete a full week's run. Meanwhile, a lot was expected from Kangna Ranaut's 'Revolver Rani', but this film too did not click with the audiences.`
