Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Lights Up at The Arrival of Big B

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), was inaugurated by the Bollywood Megastar and living Legend Amitabh Bachchan. IFFM celebrates the festival of Indian Cinema. The biggest stars and the most eminent filmmakers are present at this festival introducing their work and bringing in the magic of Bollywood to Melbourne. It is an eleven day long brimful festival.

Amitabh Bachchan delightfully states, `I am delighted that Melbourne is hosting this Festival. I am very honoured.` The Victorian Government has conferred to award Mr.Bachchan with the International Screen Icon Award at the Gala Event of the festival. `Indeed I am honoured that they have decided to give me this award. I just feel that I am least accomplished to receive such a recognition but this is your kindness, affection and grace.` Amitabh Bachchan said at a press conference. Even before his arrival at the festival, excitement had built around every corner of Melbourne city. He was received with warm welcome from a huge crowd uplifting him at the Melbourne Airport. He was seen socialising with IFFM's media partners and sponsors at Event.

The inaugural ceremony began with Mr. Bachchan lighting the ceremonial lamp and addressing the audience. Amitabh Bachchan was announced as the `One - Man patriarch of the Indian Cinema.` He also shares his thoughts on visiting Australia and talks about his role in the Indian Cinema during press interviews at the festival.
