Cool casuals
Lately, I have been digging palazzo pants. When you team it up with a cool t-shirt and shrug, it can make you look very stylish. I even like long skirts and monochrome dresses, even those with floral prints. However, jeans-and-shirt is my all-time favourite casual wear.
Comfort matters
On a work-free day, you are mostly likely to find me in a night suit (laughs). On a more serious note, I would like to be dressed in a casual maxi dress or a pair of shorts with tank tops.
Black is beautiful
While dressing up for parties, I choose my outfits and accessories depending on what kind of an event it is. For an awards function, I would pick a formal to semi-formal outfit that exudes an Indo-Western look. But if it is a formal do, I would probably opt for a dress. Or, a little black dress (LBD). It can never fail you.
Shine on
I swear by the natural look. I have sensitive skin and prefer to keep the use of cosmetics to the minimum. However, since make up is an intrinsic part of an actor's life, I ensure that I use only the best products. Before you hit the bed, I always take the make up off and slap on some moisturiser. I drink plenty of water and eat nutritious food for shiny hair and supple skin.
Bling shy
I am not a jewellery person at all. Gold is an absolute no-no. I like it on others but not on myself. However, I have a penchant for statement diamond pieces.
Fashion icon
I feel Tyra Banks has an incredible style sense and carries off almost every outfit with panache. I also take advice from my younger sister, Surily, who has a great taste in fashion.
Handbag essentials
I always carry a lip balm, lip tint, perfume, hand sanitiser and moisturiser. I freak out if the slightest portion of my body is dry. I think I have borderline OCD!
Style tips
Thanks to the internet, people are aware of what's in vogue. However, one should never follow trends blindly. It is imperative that you understand your body type and not compromise on your comfort level. For example, I will not wear a bikini because I will be ill at ease in it.
