Rohatgi, who has been lying low after series of flops, is happy to get even this blink-and-you-miss appearance in Bhandarkar film, where she plays an actress known for her item songs.
"After all, it is much better to do a cameo in prestigious film than a full-lenght role in a sleazy flick, which nobody likes to see," she insists and adds, "I always wanted to work with him. He is a marvellous filmmaker and I can't wait to start. When I learnt that he is coming up with Corporate, I expressed a desire to work with him."
So what made Madhur cast Payal in spite of her poor track record as a leading lady?
"The girl has style and oomph, which is required for the character," he tells.
"I haven't seen any her film but I've seen a few dance numbers on television, and a few promos. I didn't giv her a lengthy role, but she'll have her moments in teh film."
These few encouraging words from her director gives Payal a lot of confidence who's trying hard to break free from her past.
"I want to forget my past films. After my bold avatar it is time to take logical step and start working with big filmmakers. Now, I want to be noticed as a real actress and not just as an item girl," she gushes.
Is someone from film fraternity listening?
