Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actor Shatrughan Sinha Thursday visited some quake-affected villages in north Kashmir to assess the damage there.

They visited the Salamabad and Uri relief camps to assess the quake damage on the ground and decide how could Bollywood contribute in providing relief to the quake victims.

"We are here to decide how best the Indian film industry can contribute towards rehabilitating the quake victims in Kashmir," Bhatt said.

The two-member Bollywood team spoke to many quake survivors and saw the huge devastation wrought by the October 8 temblor in Kashmir.

Sources said the duo is also meeting the Kashmir chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed later on Thursday.
