Akshay Kumar has stated that Sonakshi Sinha deserved the National award for Best Actress for Lootera (2013).

The Khiladi has teamed up with her in films like Joker, Rowdy Rathore, Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobara and the upcoming film, Holiday. Akki, who considers Sona as his lucky charm, feels she was brilliant in the film.

Though Lootera was critically-acclaimed, it did not get any nominations at most of the award shows and Sona had vented her ire on social media.
