Well ... it turns out Dilip only meant it as a joke! When Manish Paul said that the audiences had, forever, only seen Dilip in his haasya rasa (comical mood) and never in a raudra rasa (an agitated state), he decided it was time to give Manish and the audience a night to remember! The route he took, of course, caught Manish completely off-guard. As Manish continued to provoke him some more, Dilip lunged at him and landed a reverberating slap across his face ... the multiple cameras at the awards show immediately rushed and zoomed in to this exciting turn of events. How's that for some 'raudra rasa'?
Manish said, `We had planned to have a little masti with the actors in the audience ... but we didn't want to rehearse any of this ... as some of the most comical moments come about when you leave things to spontaneity. So, when I poked Dilip about never having experienced his raudra rasa, little did I know that he was going to give me a tight slap as a display of the rasa. Or else, I would have chosen a different rasa altogether. But it was all in good humor, no hard feelings for Dilip. He's always been a sweetheart and checked with me after the awards show if he ended up hurting me. I told him it was all OK!` Quite the sport, isn't he?
