`I am so flattered that something I have done has become such a talkpoint. I am beyond flattered and I have to say thank you to the entire media for giving 'Shuddhi' so much importance,` said Karan.
`It makes me feel so loved and important Karan Malhotra and I would like to thank India for giving 'Shuddhi' so much importance. I never thought any film of mine will garner this kind of attention. At one point I thought people were talking about it more than National politics,` he added.
`The project 'Shuddhi' has been in the news eversince it was announced, primarily due to its casting and delays. Initially Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor were cast for the film. Later, for some reasons, the two quit. After which rumours of actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone being signed for Shuddhi floated. However, it also turned out to be just a rumour. Besides, names of the other actors also came out for being a part of the project but there is no confirmation yet regarding the cast and the project 'Shuddhi' as well,` Karan told Bollywood Country.
