Gurinder Chadha is planning to make a sequel to her 2003 hit movie ‘Bend It Like Beckham', which shaped the careers of Keira Knightley and Parminder Nagra.

Most of the characters of ‘Bend It Like Beckham' will return in the sequel, which is going to be about Chadha's life and her footballing career.

"I am making a sequel to Bend it Like Beckham. But I see it more as a continuation of the characters than an actual sequel. The first film was based on me when I was growing up, whereas this next one is going to be about my life afterwards," The Sun quoted her as speaking at the after-party of the TCM Classic Shorts Awards.

"I'm busy with another project at the moment, but after that I'm really looking forward to getting started on it," she added.
