"Uttaran has always given me an opportunity to experiment with my look through both characters which I have played on-screen - Iccha and Meethi. This year, I will be celebrating five years of being a part of Uttaran and will now be sporting a fifth look on the show. For the new track which takes me across the border, I will be donning a fresh look where I will be sporting a lot of salwars with a cross-border influence. My often-changing looks in the show keep me excited, and give me a chance to exploit newer horizons in terms of acting as well."
With a new turn of events, Uttaran has promised to keep the viewers of the show glued to their television screen even more than before. A roller coaster ride of emotions, taking us through the experiences of Meethi over the course of the next week will keep you enthralled for the longest time.
After the devastating news that she can never bear a child, Meethi decides to go on a journey to seek the blessings from Vaishnodevi with Damini. Fatefully she meets Fida, a kind hearted girl who has been brainwashed to become a suicide bomber, and life takes an unexpected turn for her and her family.
When the bomb goes off, Meethi is still in on the train, and Damini who watches from the platform, is left dumbfounded as the compartment of the train goes up in smoke. While everyone believes Meethi has died in the blast, her comatose body has been found across the border. As she gains consciousness, to her shock Meethi has reached across the border. Thus begins another life changing journey for Meethi...
With the new course of events, Uttaran will portray the trials and tribulations of Meethi and her family as they experience a tornado of emotional turmoil.
