Arjun Kapoor is apparently no longer a part of Sohail Khan's upcoming film, My Punjabi Nikaah. Earlier, it was being said that that Khan had apparently approached Kapoor to be part of his breezy rom-com, but looks like Kapoor is now out of the project because of the director's last film not doing as well as expected.
"After Jai Ho did not live up to its high expectations at the box office, Arjun Kapoor refused to be a part of the project," says the source.
While Arjun Kapoor remained unavailable for comment, Sohail Khan says that he has not even approached the actor for the film. "I would love to work with him, but My Punjabi Nikaah and Arjun have no connection whatsoever.
In fact, before I approach anyone for the film, I need to revise its script. We haven't fixed any launch date for the project," he says.
The film is apparently an adaptation of My Big Fat Greek Wedding and was slated to star Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in 2004, but it didn't take off then.
