Noted Bollywood actress of "ILU ILU" fame Manisha Koirala has said that she was not happy with
the roles she was presently performing, and that she wanted to do a historic character in a
film.
Manisha said this while speaking to the Pakistani media in Karachi on Saturday, after her arrival to
participate in a live GEO TV programme to be telecast on Sunday evening for raising funds for the
quake-hit survivors in the country.
Denying that Bollywood film producers were still making films on Pakistan bashing themes, she said
the Indian films in the past used to have Pakistan-bashing element, but the trend had stopped
lately.
She acknowledged that the foreign films were copied to produce Indian films, but added - "we have
films on new subjects and even the copied versions had original screenplays."
She assured the press persons that she would encourage Bollywood film industry people to help
Pakistan's quake survivors. "Seeing images of earthquake victims was painful...I am here to help in
my humble capacity. I hope to visit the quake-affected areas as well after the telethon," The News
quoted her as saying.
Acknowledging that she had a political background back home, she said that she couldn't predict
her future.
