When Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheila Dikshit was young, it is known that every morning in her
house began with Meera bhajans.
But that surely wasn't the reason why she got along
famously with Pakistani actress Meera, when they met at the recent SAARC Business Leaders
Summit, organized by FICCI in New Delhi.
Meera, who was one of the guests at the
Summit along with her actress-turned-producer friend Pooja Bhatt, simply had the CM in awe with
her impeccable Urdu.
Ms Dikshit complimented her in abundance for it and went on to
admire her dress, gait and beauty, and congratulated her on being an ambassador of peace between
India and Pakistan. Meera, in turn, showered praises on the political stalwart's grit, gut and
determination.
It almost became a 'mutual admiration society', and if it were not for the
other dignitaries, who stepped in to remind them of the time factor, their compliments could have
stretched the whole evening.
