Touted to be one of the most expensive projects on Indian TV so far, Star Plus' Airlines will feature expensive VFX, larger-than-life sets and elaborate costumes from aviation background. The high production costs are also due to the extensive outdoor shoots that the makers have done.
There are around 200 people in the production and creative teams besides another 50 in the graphics team of this show. The aircraft, designed by Mr Narendra Rahurikar, took over 3 months to conceptualized, finalized and construct.
The first design decision was to make a Boeing 737 aircraft and the challenge was to make the cockpit & passengers' panel look real - every switch, button, etc. needed to be accurate. To make the aircraft shoot friendly the side panels of the aircraft can be wheeled away and to get that perfect top angle shot of the passenger cabin the ceiling is made removable.
This replica of Boeing 737 needs to be seen to be believed! Tune in to watch Airlines - Har Udaan Ek Toofan, flying soon only on Star Plus.
