Jacqueline Fernandez turned a year older on Monday and while she was cutting her birthday cake, news also started trickling in that her recent release KICK would soon officially became the second highest grosser of all times after DHOOM 3. It is nothing less than a double whammy of sorts for Jacqueline, who has now managed to have a huge blockbuster to her name with good credit coming her way too, despite Salman Khan leading the show, reports Glamsham.com

"I knew that I had to work my hardest because God forbid if I wouldn't have been appreciated, there was no one else but myself to be blamed. Now that things have fallen in place for me, I have to make it all count," says Jackie.

As for the super success for the film and that too as a sole leading lady (she has two 100 crore successes to her name earlier, albeit in a multi-star cast set up, in the form of HOUSEFULL 2 and RACE 2), Jackie feels that the time is right for her to be going full throttle in the quintessential mainstream leading lady route with romance, song and dance galore.

"It feels amazing because I know that I have given my 110%. Honestly, a lot of energy and tears have gone into KICK. I am extremely happy and truly blessed to have done a movie like this. Also, let me be immodest here and say that it isn't just about luck. I have worked towards it. Salman knows it, Sajid (Nadiadwala) knows it, my friends and family know it, and no one can take that away from me," declares Jackie with a resolve in her voice before waving goodbye.
