In an alleged case of extortion, two gangsters reportedly opened fire inside Bollywood producer Ali Morani's house in Juhu, Mumbai's western suburbs on Saturday night.

According to sources, two shooters, believed to be underworld gangster Ravi Pujari's men, entered the Juhu residence of the producer and fired five rounds. No one was hurt in the incident.

Apparently, Ali Moorani had received extortion calls from underworld don Ravi Pujari a week ago, which he chose to ignore. As a result the gangster may have sent his goons to Morani's house and fired shots to make the producer realise that the calls were not bogus, added sources.

The crime-branch is investigating the case.

Ali Morani is the brother of Bollywood film producer Karim Morani, who was arrested in the 2G scam in 2011.
