Bollywood starlet Preeti Jain, who was in the news for allegedly conspiring to kill film producer Madhur Bhandarkar, is finally getting a break in the film industry.
Preeti will play the role of bar dancer Tarannum Khan, the controversial bar girl who was in the limelight for her involvement in a cricket betting racket.
"The film titled ‘Deepa Ka Tarannum' is inspired by Tarannum, though it is not totally based on her life," said Jain.
Earlier, Preeti and Tarannum shared a blanket as inmates in a Mumbai cell and had developed a bond during the period. She now hopes that the closeness they developed
will help her do justice to the role of Tarannum.
Jain said, "The film will be produced by Ranjit Sharma, directed by Satyam Satyarthi, while the lead male role will be played by superstar Aamir Khan's brother, Haider Ali
Khan. And the music will be composed by the Sanjeev Darshan."
However, Preeti was already worked in a film titled ‘Sub Kuch' later changed to ‘Bikau' which was produced by B R Ishara.
"I have also done a seven-minute short film produced by yesteryears actress Zeenat Aman", Jain said.
