Bollywood star Fardeen Khan Wednesday wed childhood sweetheart Natasha, daughter of former actress Mumtaz and businessman Mayur Madhavani, at a glittering ceremony here attended by family and friends.

The civil marriage at a suburban five-star hotel was attended among others by Fardeen's extended family, including uncles Sanjay and Akbar Khan and stars from Bollywood.

Earlier Fardeen's father Feroz Khan, yesteryear star and the director of extravagant movies like "Qurbani", "Jaanbaaz", "Kala Sona", "Yalgaar" and "Dayavaan", told a Mumbai tabloid there would not be either a nikaah or Hindu rites.

"There will be a registered marriage. We are a family who believes that all religions are one," he said.
