The English version of the animation film which has garnered acclaim and earned huge revenues at the box office since its release, will hit theatres next week.
''The release of the English version of the film, which has done excellent business specially considering that it is the first film with animation work by Indian artists, is to enable the film to be viewed by large number of English speaking people in India who are interested in knowing about Indian mythology but do not want to see the film in Hindi,'' Mr Yusuf Sheikh of the Percept Picture company, the producers of the film, told.
''To start with, about 30 prints of the English version of the film, directed by V G Samant, will be released all over the country,'' he said. In a bid to maximize the revenues, the release of the English version has been timed so as to coincide with the Christmas holidays.
