In the wake of sting operations and the garb of 'Freedom of Press' the media, especially television channels, have started to think they are no less than the Government or the Police.

The media barging into celebrity homes and personal lives, has become a regular unchecked malpractice in India. If not, what were a prominent television channel crew doing so late as 1.15am in the night, trying to shoot the residence of film-maker Akbar Khan this week (Wednesday, December 14).

While Akbar was attending Fardeen Khan's wedding sangeet celebrations, this TV crew manhandled his wife and falsely claimed she attacked them with her staff and her husband when he returned.

"They hadn't, but even if they had, why shouldn't they, considering the fact that these media people had no right lurking around their home like thieves in the middle of the night. Shame on the media guys. Such people (though few) can bring disgrace to the entire community," says Dale Bhagwagar a Bollywood Publicist.
