Bollywood actor Salman Khan was today granted bail by the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Jodhpur
after he appeared in the court in two cases of black buck poaching in 1998.
Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Yudhishtar Sharma granted bail to Khan , who had been served with
non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) for his non-appearance in the court, Salman's counsel Hastimal
Sarswat said, on telephone from Jodhpur.
Salman was given relief on his NBW by the Mumbai High Court till December 20, hence he appeared
in the Jodhpur court, Sarswat said.
On December 12, the CJM, Jodhpur issued arrest warrants for not appearing in the court for three
consecutive hearings in the said cases.
Salman was also scheduled to appear in Jodhpur's Munsif district court in the poaching cases related
to Arms Act lodged in Luni in 1989, the counsel said.
