Yesteryears actress Nadira is critical

The condition of yesteryears film actress Nadira, who has been admitted to Bhatia Hospital at Grant Road in South Central Mumbai following a stroke last week, is stated to be stable but critical tonight.

According to Dr Hemant Thacker who is attending the actress said, ''Her condition is stable but critical.'' The actress, who came into limelight after a brilliant performance in Mehboob Khan's 'Aan', was shifted to the ICU on December 31 after her condition deteriorated. She had a running high fever and was vomiting, he said.

Nadira, an outspoken person gave a new direction to vampish character in the films of 50s and 60s, which is considered as the golden era of Hindi films.
