Western India Film Producer`s Association (WIFPA) and Lion`s Club Of Millennium jointly organized a free Eye Camp for the underprivileged Cine Workers and technicians. Led by Shri. Sangram Shirke of WIFPA and Uma Shankar Choudhary of Lions Club of Millennium, the event saw more than 800 people avail the services. The services included eye checkup, free spectacles were distributed the needy ones and even cataract operations were done for free.
Also present at the event was Bollywood actress Hrishita Bhatt along with Rakesh Bedi and actors of popular TV show Maharana Pratap- Roshni Walia, Jannat Zubair Rahmani, Faisal Khan, Vishal Jethwa and TV producer Abhimanyu Singh.
Actress Hrishita Bhatt felt that it was a great cause for every one in the industry and she felt honoured to be a part of it. Established in 1960, this was the 5th consecutive year when the entire team carried out the event and had a big impact on her. She wants to come back next year as well to support the noble cause.
TV producer, Abhimanyu Singh was of the opinion that "eyes are very important and any problems related to it shouldn`t be neglected".
Suneel Darshan stated, "It`s one of the best options for the people who can`t afford it. It can prove to be a game changer later in life. As they say, prevention is better than cure."
