If sources are to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan has opted for a 'bombproof' car, two months after gangsters opened fire at the Juhu residence of his close friend and Bollywood producer, Ali Morani.

It is being said that the Mercedes that he has been travelling in of late is a high end protection vehicle. `There are a lot of people who own bulletproof cars, but his Mercedes is a customised model and it is specially made for VVIPs. Shah Rukh has recently purchased it,` said a source, adding that the car could be easily be one of the most expensive vehicles in Bollywood as its cost runs into several crores.


Earlier this year, Aamir Khan had reportedly invested in a bombproof car costing around Rs 10 crore when he started receiving threats for openly talking about sensitive issues on his TV show, Satyamev Jayate.
