Talking to reporters on the occasion of announcing the relaunch of his famous serial 'Buniyaad' twenty years after on Sahara one, Sippy gave all credit to Manohar Shyam Joshi, the Delhi based writer of the serial.
''The writers like Manohar Shyam Joshi and Salim-Javed are not born often,'' said the veteran director, who was accompanied by his actor wife Kiran Juneja, who had acted in the serial.
''Last year my film 'Sholay' was relaunched after completing 30 years and this year my serial is being relaunched after 20 years which is a wonderful feeling,'' he added.
The serial, based on the partition of India and Pakistan, will go on air from January 26 at 2000 hrs with some technical upgradation.
Sippy said, ''This is the proper time to relaunch the serial particularly when we are mending fences with our neighbour.'' Aloknath, who played the role of Masterji, in the serial, said that his 'buniyaad' in the film industry was launched by this serial.
