Talking about the film to SantaBanta.com, Babita stated, "It took us almost a year to complete the ground work for the film, though we shot the film over a period of few months. We had initially planed on making a documentary, but some how things worked in a different way and here we are with a full proof Hindi Feature film. However, The film does not consist of any songs or exaggerated scenes or masala. We have tried to stick to the facts and present different facets of Prithipal Singh's life."
