‘Banana Brothers'— an unusual name and to an extent unusual film too. It's a light-hearted attempt to
look at the ‘trials and tribulations' of two simple men in the land of dreams (U.S of A.), their attempts
to make it big, and how they go about it.
The two ethnic communities – Punjabi and
Guajrati, are portrayed in it. The stronghold of these two communities in American milieu is a
well-known.
One of the main
characters Ketan Shah is played by famous actor Mr. Anupam Kher and other Baldev Singh is played
by debutante Gursewak Mann (popular Punjabi singer). They are ably supported by Gulshan Grover
and Johnny lever.
Rest of the cast and crew are assembled from Los Angeles the director of
photography Erick Green is professor of photography, USC.
This breezy entertainment boasts of
soundtrack comprising Hindi, Punjabi and English songs, which enhance the storyline.
Music is by Jaidev and lyrics are penned by Sameer. On the whole, ‘Banana Brothers' promises to be
a real feel good film.
