Open discussion on sex is limited to urban areas alone. AIDS has affected many lives and hence, there is a need to spread awareness and raise money for the cause. I don't think there are enough films being made on sex education or AIDS. Even if someone tries to incorporate the subject, they have to face a lot of difficulties at various levels - right from getting a certificate to finding distributors. How can we call ourselves a changed society when we can't even accept the existence of LGBT community?"

From where we began as a society, we have certainly come a long way. Having said that, we still get queasy when it comes to sex. At the risk of sounding boastful, Vicky Donor (his debut film on sperm donation) was a leap of faith as far as breaking taboos is concerned. The censor board is doing what is expected from it. Time and again, they do pass films that try to push the envelope with bold themes. We have a long way to go compared to the West, but we are certainly headed in the right direction.

I think our younger generation is fully clued in on the subject of sex, so hopefully the next generation will be much more informed and educated about the safety precautions.
