For Delhi girl Huma Qureshi, all her childhood New Year's Eves were spent at home with family. We met her at a recent event in the capital where she shared her nostalgia about December 31 spent in blankets watching TV, reports The Times of India.

She said, "Till the time I was in Delhi, New Year's Eve was always a family occasion. All our friends' plans were either for January 1 in the day or for any other night of the week, because being at home on the 31st was almost like a ritual.

I would in the blanket with my mom and brother and watch those special performance shows on TV. It was always a busy day for my father at the restaurant because people would be ordering in food, so we would call him at 12 and wish him. He would also try to finish work soon after that and come home. Ever since I've moved to Mumbai, I miss this kind of family time and all the New Year's I spent at home."
