Rang De Basanti's success has opened the doors of fortune for Rakeysh Mehra. The director is now looking forward to working with the Bachchans for his next - "Bhairavi. Amitabh and Abhishek have agreed to work with him
but Jaya Bachchan is yet to say ‘yes'.
People must be thinking that since he has got success with ‘Rang De Basanti', he want to work with the best but it might not be known to many that Rakeysh has always
Bachchan's in mind.
He told in an interview that after Aks he wanted to make - ‘Samjhauta Express‘ featuring Abhishek as a Pakistani terrorist who infiltrates to India to rescue his father, but the
project was abandoned by the filmmaker.
He also revealed, "Seven years ago, even before ‘Aks', I wanted to do ‘Awaaz‘. I wanted to make it with Abhishek. It was about a bunch of boys working in a garage - the
haves and have-nots. You will find shades of ‘Awaaz' in ‘Rang De Basanti'." Even this wish of his working with Abhishek could get fulfilled.
Now finally his ambition will come true with Bhairavi. The movie is set in the world of classical Indian music and also deals with the themes of familial strife and competitive
creativity. And for this he wants the Bachchan family - Amitabh Bachchan with wife Jaya and son Abhishek Bachchan. He wants to show the real-life roles of husband, wife
and son.
He has narrated the script to Amitabh and Abhishek who agreed to work on the same. As far as Jaya Bachchan is concerned, Mehra says, "She has to! I'll go on a hunger
strike until she agrees. Bhairavi must be made, probably this very year." Meanwhile Rakeysh is planning to work on his autobiographical script called Delhi-6 before he starts
with Bhairavi.
