Noted film actor Om Puri has only one wish - to become the Prime Minister of the country. Asked about his cherished desire, Puri, interacting with mediapersons at the Chandigarh Press Club, said, "Make me the Prime Minister"

Asked to spell out his priorities in case his wish was fulfilled, pat came the reply: "as PM, I will take class of all nalayaks (non-performers)."

Puri said BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee initially looked good as Prime Minister, "but later failed".

"Manmohan Singh is good and has opened the country to the world. But radical changes required to be taken by him are missing," he said.

To a question, Puri said despite left's hiccups, the UPA-led Congress government was stable.

In the last Lok Sabha elections, he had supported Congress, Puri said adding "I will be available to them whenever they need me. Politics for me is sammaj seva (social service)."
