"You are looking at the eyes of the most beautiful woman on this world". . Does this sentence sound familiar? This was a public awareness film featuring Aishwarya Rai, the ambassador of the Eye Bank Association of India. Aishwarya Rai donated her eyes way back in 1994 and through this film she endorsed it on National television.

Later many celebrities like Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Sunil shetty, Revathy and many others were espousing this noble cause.

Racently Juhi Chawla has pledged to donate her eyes to the Dhamecha Eye Hospital at Porbandar when she went there for a Family visit.

Juhi's support to the camp encouraged many people and around 40,000 pledged for eye donations in three months.

According to Juhi, when she went to Porbander for a familiy visit there she was asked to lend her support to an eye donation camp which was also carrying out free cataract operations.

Speaking on the same she said, "This time when I went, they made a special occasion out of it. While there, I pledged to donate my eyes. They do such wonderful work that my deed seems like a drop in the ocean. But if every such deed helps to light up someone's life, then why not?"
