Sameera Reddy is one of the happiest actresses today. She has been finalized for the lead role in the screen adaptation of Monica Ali's Pulitzer-nominated novel ‘Brick Lane.

Sameera's Bengali act in Buddhadeb Dasgupta's movie ‘Kaalpurush' has certainly brought her recognition. It is after seeing her performance in the movie, producers of an international company have approached Sameera to play a Bangladeshi woman in a film.

The story is that of a Bangladeshi girl. It talks about how she proceeds form being an adolescent to a matured girl in London.

It is learnt that the producers want 45 dates from Sameera for the movie. But Sameera too busy with her Bollywood assignments.

The film will be directed by Sarah Gavron who has done exemplary work in the past like This Little Life and Losing Touch. Sameera plays Nazneen.

Sameera says she is trying to accommodate the dates, but can't say if she will do the movie for certain.
