Director Ashutosh Gowariker whose film Lagaan was nominated in the Oscars for the Best Foreign Film Category in 2002, has again been invited to attend the 78th Academy Awards which will be held on March 5 at the Kodak Theatre in L.A.
This year no Indian film has been nominated for the Oscars but Gowariker will be representing India this time too. Gowariker's wife Sunita will accompany him. He confirmed the news, "Yes, I am going to attend the Oscars with my wife Sunita."
The grand ceremony will be held on Sunday and will be telecast live. It will be hosted by Jon Stewart. Gowarikar will leave for LA on February 27th and will be there till March 10th. Gowariker said, last time he was tense, waiting for the results to be announced but this time he will be relaxed and enjoy the show.
The filmmaker has other important meeting too. He is going their in search for a visual effects supervisor and stunts co-ordinator for his next film ‘Akbar Jodha' which will star ace hero Hrithik Roshan and ace beauty Aishwarya Rai. Once there, he would also explore the possibility of distribution also.
