"The Lunchbox" was nominated in the Film Not in the English Language category and lost the trophy to Polish-Danish drama movie "Ida". Nimrat attended the event to support her movie.
"At the unforgettable @BAFTA do last night...So surreal to be there and present as well! #Baftas2015 #EEBAFTAs," she tweeted.
The list of winners for the 68th edition of the annual gala was announced on the official website of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards Sunday night. Nimrat says she even blanked-out for a while due to presence of a string of international film celebrities.
"Don't recollect presenting...but apparently I did! That was some room with a view! #EEBAFTAs #Baftas2015 @BAFTA," she further posted.
However, Nimrat, who shared the screen space in "The Lunchbox" with actor Irrfan Khan, for the unique love story of a lovelorn wife and a lonely man, generated a mixed response by her choice of outfit for the red carpet -- a pink gown with a plunging neckline.
However, actress Dia Mirza took to the micro-blogging to support the actress, who went to do a varied kind of role after the success of the movie which includes an international series "Homeland".
"@NimratOfficial:At the unforgettable @BAFTA #Baftas2015 #EEBAFTAs " I love this girl. And ALL the rules she's broken," Dia tweeted.
Nimrat also last month attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
