'Mugal-E-Azam' and 'Sholay' set the 're-release' trend. The new 'Taj Mahal...' is said to be following it soon. But right now, it's a contemporary, urban and critically acclaimed Rahul Bose-Koel Purie film that has jumped on to the bandwagon.
Vinta Nanda's directorial debut 'White Noise' missed out on a nationwide release last year, due to litigation. But now, having won its court case, the movie's suddenly making the right noises all over again. The distributors are going all out to re-release the film all over India, starting with a release in Delhi ('Spice World' theatre in Noida) this week.
Just for the record, the film ran for 14 weeks in Mumbai initially, and is expected to repeat the magic all over India. Yes! Some repeat value... literally.
