Filmstar and MP Raj Babbar lambasted the Samajwadi Party for promoting "immoral politics and dalals (brokers)" at a meeting here Sunday.

Babbar accused Amar Singh, general secretary of the party and chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Development Council, without naming him, for "sabotaging" schemes for the development of Agra.

Two-time MP Babbar earlier arrived with a cavalcade of cars and motorcyclists and reached Telegraph ground to address a public meeting.

He listed four specific projects that Amar Singh had "managed to scuttle" - an international airport and an international stadium in Agra, water from the Ganges river and special schemes for farmers.

The Samajwadi Manch, a forum formed by Babbar after he was ousted from the Samajwadi Party for criticising Amar Singh, is likely to intensify its campaign in neighbouring districts.
